Lush Face Masks, A Round Up

There are still a couple that I've to get my hands on, but I've tried out the majorty of Lush's facemasks, and I am here to share my verdict to help you decide what you need for your skin!

Don’t Look at Me

It smells absolutely delicious, the scent reminds me very much of the ocean salt face a body scrub, which I have used in the past and adored.  So it was with great delight to find a facemask that would somewhat replicate the good of the scrub, as Don’t Look at Me is also very exfoliating.  Upon applying, as you spread the mask over your face you really feel the ground rice rubbing into your pores and working its magic!  You can also feel the lemon juice seeping into the pores and creating a tingly sensation.  Afterwards my skin feels cleaner, smoother and looks a lot brighter too! 

Mask of Magminty

Let me start by telling you this, never have I ever felt my skin so squeaky clean after just one use of a facemask.  This product is a Lush self-preserving face and body mask, designed to gently clean and exfoliate whilst worn.  Made with peppermint oil and primrose seeds – the ingredients work amazingly together, making your pores feel super tingly and leaves the feeling of an extra deep cleanse.  To use, I like to smooth a generous layer of the mask over my face, paying special attention to my nose, cheeks and chin – as these are the areas that tend to breakout most often.  I tend to leave it on between ten to fifteen minutes at a time, as I find that this is the perfect amount of time for it to dry without giving it the opportunity to flake off.

Cup’O’Coffee

Cup O’ Coffee is the mask that you need in your life if you like to exfoliate like me! I feel a need to give my face a good scrubbing when I wash it, and so anytime that I do use a facemask – I tend to give my face a scrub with an alternative product after… just for good measure.  The ground up coffee beans used in this mask are just perfect for this, as the particles are so, so fine that you can safely scrub away at your skin without having to worry about actually causing it any harm.   When you scoop the mask out to apply to your face, it’s a really sticky constituency – but yet is super easy to smooth across your face.  What I really like about applying it is that you can give your skin as scrub as you apply it.  I like to use a semi generous amount over my face and leave it on anywhere between 10-25 minutes at a time.  This mask doesn’t dry or harden as you wear it, which is great because it makes it so much easier to wash off.  When I’ve given my skin its coffee fix, I use some warm water to rinse it off, scrubbing as I go to give my skin a really good exfoliation.  After use, my skin looks as though it’s just been given a new lease of life!   Sometimes I swear its glowing.  It also makes my skin  feel really smooth and clean – especially around my nose where I tend to get the blackhead breakouts. 

Catastrophe Cosmetic

Catastrophe Cosmetic is packed with lovely ingredients including blueberries, rose, calamine and chamomile which when are mixed together in this concoction make a gorgeous smell, which I think is exactly like Parma Violet sweeties!  For best results, I recommend using this mask on freshly washed skin – I know that some people like to apply a light moisturiser beforehand, but I personally feel that this would prevent some of the benefits on the mask.  One of the things that I love most about this product is that it is perfect for problematic skin like mine.  I enjoy it because my eczema causes my face to dry out abnormally quickly – and I always need to apply a moisturiser straight after I wash my face.  All of the ingredients help to soothe my skin, especially the areas around my mouth and eyes, as these tend to be the places that suffer the most during a breakout.  The one main problem that I do have with this mask is that it tends to flake off as it is drying – sometimes even before it has dried in completely.  I like to wear any facemask for around 15-20 minutes at a time, however I have come to find that this mask tends to only be suitable for around a 10 minute session before it starts to flake away.

Cupcake

Two of my favourite things in this world are mint and chocolate, so after reading all about the different fresh face masks that Lush have to offer Cupcake stood out to me for this exact reason.  Packed with cocoa butter, mint and cocoa powder this thick and creamy mask promises to draw out dirt and impurities, as well as giving your face a deep cleansing experience.  This is a really thick and creamy mask – so as you apply it takes a lot of rubbing in to get the maximum coverage from the amount you are putting on.  This of course is not a bad thing, as it allows you to rub in the minty goodness, and gives your skin a real tingly and cleansing experience at the same time!  I like to use Cupcake all over my face and give my skin a generous coating with each application – however I think it would work perfectly well for a treatment a across the tea zone or other problem areas too if preferred. What I love the most about Cupcake is that it really does give my skin a proper good cleansing – I always feel that my pores have had a good clean with every use, and it doesn’t take any time at all to get the results.

Winter Lip Care Essentials

Dry, chapped lip season is once again upon us, which is not ideal for our poor wee peckers.  My lips have been pretty healthy as of late, however I have had some pretty bad spells this year where they have been dry and irritated and sore.  As the colder weather is starting to take its toll on them once more, here are some of my winter lip care essentials, which I have found to really take care of my peckers over these colder months.

Barry M Lip Oils

I’ve only recently become interested in watching vloggers during my free time, and I’ve really been enjoying watching people try out new products and finding out what they think.  Zoella vlogged earlier this year about the Barry M lip oils, that she suggested are a great dupe for the Clinique ones – which are way pricier and not cruelty free.  I had actually some across these in store before, however didn’t think much of them, other than they looked like a gloss.  After hearing the great things that Zoella had to say about them (even after she said that she loved the Clinique ones too), I decided to pick one up on my next Superdrug outing, and they did not disappoint!  This beautiful product makes my lips feel absolutely fantastic.  They look and feel nourished with every application, and as the oil is clear, they look really natural and healthy too.  The formula glides on beautifully and soaks into the lips, giving them enough time to absorb the goodness.  Priced at £4.99, this is something that I’m willing to pay a little more for, as I know it works.  Superdrug currently have three for two on all cosmetics right now – so if this is something you’ve fancied trying out for a while now, why not do so next time you’re picking up your staple products?

Burts Bees

Now I’ve spoken about these lip balms the last time I was having problems with my lips – Burts Bees lip balm fixed me up then and they’ve fixed me up now!  These luscious lip balms leave my lips feeling smooth, nourished and healthy with every use.  Burts Bees use bees wax, shea butter and sometimes coconut oil too to create the perfect formula for each balm, alongside the appropriate essential oils to make each and every one unique!  During these colder months I’ve been loving and reaching for the peppermint lip balm as it makes my lips feel tingly and fantastic – however I have also been loving the fruity ones that I picked up over the summer when they had their online Christmas 2015 clearance sale.

Between the lip oil and lip balm, my lips have been looking healthy and happy during these colder winter months.  Whenever I feel them beginning to tighten or dry up, a small application of either normally fixes them up quickly!  It really makes me feel uncomfortable and unhappy when my lips are feeling dry, and so I’m so pleased that I’ve found these goodies to keep my peckers and I happy during the next several months.

Lush Halloween Bath Bombs

October for me means that the count down for Christmas is officially on.  I’ve 6 siblings to purchase gifts for alongside my parents, boyfriend, his family and my pals – so I always start my Christmas shopping around this time.  I know… I’m THAT person.  Don’t get me wrong though, I might be gearing up for Christmas financially, but I’m still very much all about Halloween until November comes along.  It’s why October is my favourite month of all!  I’ve got all of my Halloween spiced candles looked out and they’re burning away, and of course I’ve been in and out of Lush on several occasions lately picking up their fabulously creepy Halloween bath bombs to set the scene.  With the weather finally turning that little bit chiller and the nights are creeping in that little bit earlier, is there any better way to end the day (or spend the afternoon?!) than soaking in a tub of spooky fragrances?

Pumpkin Bath Bomb

This was the one that I was the most excited to get my hands on when I first saw the list of Halloween Lush goodies this year.  Cinnamon is my all-time favourite scent ever, so the vanilla and cinnamon spiced pumpkin sounded like a beautiful spicy sensation.  Pumpkin looks rather creepy, he has a wicked smile that fizzles slowly in the tub, and eyes that watch your every move.  Although pumpkin does not give you much of a show as he fizzles out – his scent makes up for this in every way possible.  The room fills with his aroma that lingers on your skin for hours.  He leaves his mark on you with the ever so subtle glittery pieces that appear in the tub.  I was worried that his orange tint would leave the bath in an awful mess like Yoga Bomb, however I was pleasantly surprised when all traces of him disappeared down the drain.  I’ve fallen in love with Sir Pumpkin, and will absolutely be stocking up before he disappears for the year.

Lord of Misrule

I’ve heard lots of fantastic things about this particular fragrance over the years that I’ve been indulging in Lush.  Little did I know that the Sugar Scrub bar that I have picked up in the past shares a very similar scent with her.  Defiantly not a fragrance that I think everyone would be crazy about – I personally really like the spicy aroma and subtle exterior of the bath bomb.  After watching the Lush Halloween promo video – and I will admit that I watched that bad boy over, and over again – I was desperate to get my hands on one of these to try.  When you pop her in the bath the water turns a ghoulish green, and releases the beautiful scent into the room.  Moments later, the pink centre starts to spill into the water, resulting in the most mesmerising swirls of colours in the tub.  Even better, the popping candy starts to crackle, making the whole experience hat little bit more spectacular.  Lord of Misrule puts on a show that is not one to be missed – it will be a sad day when she has to pack up again for the year.

Monsters Ball
This fantastic little critter really made a crappy day into a wonderful evening.  Lime is one of my favourite scents ever, so Monsters Ball aroma really stood out at me when I picked it up in store.  Looking very innocent with just the one eye looking at you, it dissolves very slowly in the tub - keeping the best part for last.  Monsters Ball eye remains until the last of its presence fizzles away.  The eye consists of a very gooey, chocolaty smelling substance - the whole thing reminds me very much of a chocolate lime sweetie.  The water fills with a variety of blues, white, pink and purple colours throughout your soak, which all churn together to create a fantastic blue coloured water to spend the remainder of the evening in.  Monsters Ball is the perfect companion for when you need a little uplifting or you're simply in the mood for some fun!

The Good Hour…

Well, that’s it!  I am officially an adult.  21 is the year when you technically start to adult, but people don’t care if you mess up because “you’re only 21!”  By 22, we should have our lives together, either working full time and saving for the future or studying something that we enjoy (hopefully) and are working towards our dream jobs.  “No more messy around” so they say, however I’m quite content plodding along for now in my busy but relatively peaceful routine.  I feel so blessed to be surrounded by people who actually care for me, my family, my education, my well being and my happiness – thank you to everyone who has supported me in everything I have done this year, and an even bigger thank you to those who made my 22^nd birthday so special!

My birthday this year started four days early, when Martin and I traveled down to Edinburgh (first class!) for a spot of shopping, some fine dining, a stroll around the zoo and my first ever Lush Spa treatment, The Good Hour.  This was a gift from Martin for my birthday, and I had known about it for several months – simply because he wanted me to pick which treatment I wanted!  Honestly, nothing can compare to the amount of excitement that was  buzzing inside… except of course that time I found out I was getting my baby boy Hulk, Happy I Gotcha Day pooch! 

For months I’ve been putting ideas together in my head, trying to decide how amazing this experience was going to be.  I’m a Lush addict, I go to bed with the smell of my bath bombs lurking from my drawer… I have a problem, I know.  This being said though, there is no way on earth that I could have imagined The Good Hour treatment the way it took place on October 10^th – there are no words to describe how magical it was.  From the moment I made myself known to the staff, they made me feel so at home, so chilled and most of all – excited.  My therapist Janine was honestly the sweetest, happiest and most comforting people I have ever met.  She explained everything to me perfectly, whilst leaving the elements of surprise too where she felt need be.  I was so relaxed before the treatment had even started!  I’m not going to tell you anything much about the experience, as I found it to be the most magical event ever having going in with no clue what to expect.  What I will give you though is a few key words that make up the experience…

Think refreshing brews, witches style cottage, sea life, pirates and the BEST deep tissue massage that you will ever experience – did I say it was a 70 minute session?!

I cannot thank Janine enough for making my first ever Lush Spa treatment so special for me, nor can I thank Martin enough for the wonderful gift.  With The Good Hour under my belt, I’m ready to make my 22^nd year a special one – and I am already considering my next treatment too!

Soap & Glory Face Mask

So the last couple of weeks have been slightly crazy to say the least!  My summer is officially over, uni has started up again and I’m already having stress related symptoms just processing the idea of fourth year!  I wasn't prepared for the crazy work load that got thrown at me during the first week, and so my blog took a little it of a hit during that time - so my apologies for my unexplained absence, but I'm back now and ready to carry on again!

In August I treated myself to the Soap and Glory No Pores Allowed deep cleansing mask, after I had used up the last of my Lush ones.  It’s been a while since I bought myself a face mask that wasn’t from Lush, and over time I’ve noticed that my pores have become a lot more noticeable – so I wanted to go for something that will tackle them without being too harsh on my skin.  My eczema has been acting up too after trying my luck with some yeast foods (won’t be doing that again any time soon) so as a result I’ve been really careful as what I’m using on my skin to avoid an even bigger flare up. 

Soap and Glory have always been favourite brand of mine, however I’ve been using them a lot more ever since I went cruelty free.  I’ve only ever seen good reviews on this particular mask, and the £12 price tag was made an awful lot better when it was BOGOHP on all of their skin care products… boost! 

The mask itself is designed to unclog pores and leave them looking smaller, if not removing them completely over a period of time.  It’s a self-warming mask that heats up as you rub it in, which I find stays warm for the first few minutes of wearing, then cools itself down gradually until your skin actually starts to feel cold (or this is what happens to me anyways – I leave it on for around 20 minutes).  I like to feel face masks doing the work as I wear them, so this one definitely ticks that box for me.  As you’re rubbing it in, your skin benefits from an ever so gentle exfoliation, which is perfect for opening up the pores, right before the heat kicks in.  The bottle states that your mask should turn blue as you rub it in, which I have yet to experience.  You shake your bottle, then apply the off white mask to your face, which turns an ever so slightly grey colour in the process.  I’ve only ever seen my mask turn blue on occasion when I’m rubbing it off, so don’t let that bottle fool you or put you off reusing.

Having used the mask for around 2 months now, I have to say that it’s one that I really, really like.  It always leaves my skin feeling a lot cleaner, especially if I give myself another gentle exfoliation after a wear.  I will say though that it does ALWAYS make me break out, and I personally don’t mind this as I try and time my uses for days when I know I’m about to be bumming around for a while – but if you do have plans that require a fresh face and fancy a mask treat prior to the big day, this is not the one for you – unless you’re planning on using it the week before!

A fabulous mask with a great price tag, this is one that I would totally pick up again on any Soap and Glory special offer events.

The Makeup Range You NEED To Try

Before I decided to make all of my cosmetics cruelty free, I was always against buying dirt heap brands.  You know, the ones that only ever cost a couple of quid – no matter where you pick them up from.   I feared that they would clog up my pores and generally just not work very well.  I’ve now been open to trying out a lot more brands as of late that normally I would have avoided – as I’ve found that a lot of cheap brands actually tend to be cruelty free and sometimes even vegan.  I’ve been trying out the Natural Collection range which is available from Boots.  It’s been around for as long as I can remember – I used pick up little bits and bobs from the range when I was about 13.  Having seen a couple of bloggers online as of late posting about the brand, and whether or not they enjoyed the products, I thought I would give it a go and make up my own mind!

First off, the whole entire range of Natural Collection is priced as £1.99 apiece.  That’s £1.99 for foundation, £1.99 for mascara, £1.99 for highlighter.  AMAZING! £1.99 is right up my price range – I like products that I know work wonderfully and do not break the bank – so a good price to start with makes me curious and want to know more.  Secondly, they have nearly every single product that a girl could want or need in their makeup bag.  Although the stock in store was very sparse when I was in Boots (which actually made me think it was because a lot of people are rating the brand right now) if you order online you can get everything from concealer, eyeliner, eyeshadow and even eyebrow products!  I don’t spend a lot of time on my make up in the morning – I’m not into this whole contouring thing, nor do I wear eye shadow or any eye makeup bar mascara.  I like it all to be quick and simple, so again this brand fits my criteria really quite well!

I purchased myself a tinted moisturiser and a highlighter on my visit, as I’ve finally ran out of my Barry M and B. products that I bought a few months back.  I have been using both products every day for the last week now, and have to say that I am super impressed with both!  The tinted moisturiser sits so well on my skin, it blends in really nicely and doesn’t feel sticky nor look cakey as the day goes on.  I really can’t even tell that I’m wearing it as the day goes on, which again is something that I really enjoy.  I think that it gives me a real good coverage, it covers a lot of the red patches of my skin and most blemishes that I have right now.  It also doesn’t irritate my skin either which is fab – it is just a really lush product that does my every day basic look justice!  The highlighter stick is also fab too – although I did pick up quite a dark/pink tone for my skin, it does look really nice and gives my skin a nice glow which lasts all day.  I also like to wear some under my blusher as it gives my cheeks a really nice colour!

I’m definitely going to be picking myself up a couple of other products from the Natural Collection range when I’m in need of a makeup re stock.  I’m curious to see how well the mascara works as I like to make my lashes look really long, and I would also like to try out the concealer and press powder too!

Don’t Look at Me Facemask

It’s that time of the month again when my skin starts to act up and breakout in the most inconvenient ways.  My face feels super bumpy due to my pores and spots being big and gross, and my eczema has broken out on my hand again – where it tends to act up the most and often gets infected.  Both these things though can be treated, my eczema will clear up after a day or two of steroid cream – and my skin will clear up with the help of a fresh facemask!

We all know that I enjoy a Lush facemask (see here, here, here and here for some of my faves) so naturally, when my skin acts up I reach for a little black pot to speed up the recovery process!  At the end of last month, I traded in another 5 little black pots for a new fresh facemask, so  here is what I’m using right now…

What first drew me into Don’t Look at Me was of course the lush looking vibrant blue colour than filled the round silver bowl on the ice display in store.  The colour intrigued me to look further at the ingredients – which then led me to discover the amazing smell… LEMON!

I love to leave it to dry up for around 20 minutes at least, because I find that the longer you leave it, the more noticeable the results!  Today I washed mine off in the shower, which I found to be a lot easier than trying to do it over the sink – as it’s way less messy.  As you wash it off, the mask melts away enough to allow you to give your skin a gentle exfoliation – without the lemon juice being too harsh.  Afterwards my skin feels cleaner, smoother and looks a lot brighter too!  Even more surprisingly, my skin actually feels very well moisturised, thanks to the murmuna butter.

Don’t Look at Me is perfect for me to use despite my sensitive skin, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a deep cleansing experience, without the fuss (and mess)!

Cruelty Free Make-Up Follow Up

A couple of weeks back I shared with you all the lovely and affordable cruelty free make up in the form of Barry M and B.  As promised, I’ve broken down the products to try help you get a better feel for them.

Mascara

I absolutely love, Love, LOVE this mascara – it’s totally amazing!  It’s not a particularly fancy wand, if anything it is probably a little bit old school.  In the morning I do about three swipes across each eye to give me a nice natural looking lash – however if I have plans in the evening it’s really easy to build up the look without clumping, leaving me with a nice dramatic eye look!

Barry M Foundation

I really think that this could be the best foundation that I have ever tried out – like ever!  It’s so light to wear, and if blended well (which doesn’t take much effort at all) I really don’t think you can tell that I’m wearing it!  I was delighted to find the perfect shade for my skin, I could tell just by looking at the bottle it was the one for me.  However I did sample it too… you know, just to be safe!  It gives the most perfect matte finish ever, and leaves my skin looking lovely and healthy every day.  My only concern with this was the price – this little pot cost me £5.99, and I’m already just about half way through.  Saying that though, Barry M usually have some sort of promotion on too at all the major drug stores – which will hopefully mean I can stock up then, making it cheaper for me in the long run!

Blusher

I really like the style of this blush, its powdery but whipped, so when you apply it with a brush it takes really nicely to my matte foundation, and gives me a nice pinky glow all day.  I picked this up for £3.99, but as it retails at £7.99 full price, I’m not sure that it will be one I’ll be quick to pick up again unless its on offer.  I’m cheap okay?!  I do however adore this shade, and the peach alterative was super cute too!

Blemish Primer

This stuff is amazing, it makes my skin feel fantastic with every single application!  It feels really moisturising and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated throughout the day too – a win win situation!  I’m not sure I can say much about the blemish control – but it does create the perfect base for my make-up, which now lasts pretty much a whole day with no touch ups!  This is one product that I would be willing to pay the full £9.99 for as it had been great for my skin, however I will not say no to a promotion in the future *wink wink*.

Beauty Blender

This was one of the items that I had not intended on purchasing, but you know for £4.99 I couldn’t really say no.  I was in desperate need of a new one anyway… or so I told myself at the time!  It’s the perfect sturdy little blender, although slightly smaller than the real techniques one.  My sisters have however told me that it feels and looks just like the official real deal, whatever that means – but I presume it’s good news!

Face palette 

For £4.99, I suppose I can’t really complain.  But I will, my only problem is that the swatches are simply not big enough!  The highlighter is amazing, it gives me a nice glow without being too dramatic.  The concealer is pretty good too – however I have noticed that if I don’t blend it to my best ability in the morning then it does tend to get a bit patchy as the day goes on.  These are the only two items I’ve used so far, but I’m sure the others will come in handy sometime soon!

The Body Shop Treats

Another one from my June Lust List, on my last trip into town I also came away with a few lovely bits from The Body Shop, as part of my monthly treats to myself!  I know that The Body Shop are not registered on Peta’s cruelty free website as they are owned by a company who are not cruelty free.  This said though, as they alone do not conduct any form of animal testing, and are currently raising money to help to restore the rain forests -  I thought that they would be a good place to start looking for my toiletries!  I’ve been using everything that I bought for a number of weeks now, and have to say that I absolutely love everything that I picked up.  Alongside this, they also signed me up for their beauty card – which gives you a £5 voucher for every £50 you spend… which is super impressive!  I mean, how many other companies do you know that reward you so frequently?

Wild Argon Shower Gel

This smells amazing, like so, SO good!  I don’t even know how to describe it -  it just smells so clean and pure and fresh and amazing!  I was gifted a sample back at the beginning of the year and I put it aside because for some reason I just really didn’t think I was going to enjoy using it… silly me!  I splurged on this one a bit paying £4 for 250ml – it won’t be something that I buy myself all the time, I use all of my Body Shop goodies at my boyfriend’s house – so they will last me slightly longer than my Lush alternatives, as we don’t always stay there. 

Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner

I’m not going to lie, I thought I was getting myself a real bargain here.  I had done all of my online research prior to popping into store, and I knew that this pair were the ones that I wanted.  It was a duo that would be good for dry hair.  I’ve not been to the hair dressers in months (I know, not cool) so as you can imagine the ends of my hair are not in the best condition.  These two were perfect, as they are designed for just that!  However during my online prep, I spied them advertised for just £2 – winning!  Alas, upon arriving at the till it was brought to my attention that these 250ml bottles were £5… each!  I never spend that much on such a small quantity, but I was feeling a little spend happy – so got them anyway.  Although I’m not sure I’ll purchase again purely on the price (unless there is an offer, in which case I’ll be there!)  I have to say that my hair has felt absolutely gorgeous after every wash with them.  When using the shampoo, it foams up into a nice and thick lather, which doesn’t make my hair feeling tuggy when I wash it out, unlike some.  The conditioner is also nice and thick as you apply, and both have very strong scents of honey – which is not normally something that I enjoy the smell of, but for some reason I really like it in this pair!  Both really nice products, so I hope I can pick them up again should there be some kind of offer soon.

I picked up the Strawberry and Coconut versions on this trip, and they smell so good!  Any time I apply it, the smell lingers for AGES which sometimes leaves people asking me what I’m wearing because it’s so strong and pleasant!  Priced at £2.50 (and on 3for2) these will be items that I pick up ALL the time – they smell fantastic, last for ages and are generally just great value for money!  I always need to have some sort of hand sanitizer on me wherever I go, so why not have a nice smelling one?

Original Source Shower Gels

Have you ever picked up a bottle of body wash and thought “holy crap this smells good enough to eat”?  Or have you ever been lathering yourself with your body wash and drifted off into a fruity sensation?  If you’ve not, then you’re definitely missing out!

On my quest to becoming a better vegetarian, I decided to go cruelty free with all of my beauty and personal products and cosmetics.  Although I’ve always been aware that some companies do still test on animals, I was actually very much disturbed to find that a lot of the brands that I’ve been using all of my life are all culprits to this awful act.  I mean if we can be charged for being caught physically mistreating an animal in our homes or out on the street, then why should it be any different for these poor souls who have to endure various different tests on a daily basis?!  It’s really upsetting when you think about it, hence why I’ve made the decision to change my ways!

I was totally delighted to come across a brand that had not only so many fragrances to choose from, but also a fantastic range of goodies to pick from too!  Original Source are a 100% vegan brand meaning that they don’t use any animal produce in any of their products.  They pride themselves in using only the most natural ingredients in their products, hence why they smell so absolutely fantastic.  They’ve been on the go for a number of years now, and have continued to develop their range over the years too.

Spied in most of the major supermarkets and beauty stores, I’ve been picking up bottles of their shower gels for a few months now.  My absolute favourite one has got to be Lime – its smells just like the chocolate lime sweeties that I used to love when I was little, and it honestly leaves me feeling so super fresh and clean with every wash.  I have however had the pleasure of enjoying the lemon, mint, strawberry and cherry & nettle fragrances too – and each and every single one has never disappointed in terms of fragrance and cleanness.  Recently I’ve seen most of their goodies on special offer for just £1 – which is pretty fantastic considering a lot of vegan brands tend to cost a wee bitty more due to the nature of them sourcing non animal products. 

Original Source have helped me realise that it’s super easy to adjust your cosmetics to cruelty free brands.  I’ve yet to come across a scent that I have not yet enjoyed – and I’m super excited to find on their website that they actually have a range of body lotions and butters now too!  The lime and coconut oil range particularly take my fancy – so here is hoping that I can find a branch close to home that sell these beauties!
